From: "Fr John W Fenton (by way of Rev. Eric J. Stefanski, )" To: Subject: HP: Synthesis of Pentecost V (Trinity IV) Date: Thursday, November 01, 2001 1:02 PM Perhaps some might find helpful this synthesis of Sunday's propers. “The sufferings of this present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Epistle) Therefore, “though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear.” (Introit) For we have a God who is our help and salvation (Gradual); a Jesus who is a Refuge for the oppressed in times of trouble (Alleluia); a Spirit who delivers to us Our Lord’s great compassion (Chief Hymn); and a Father who does not deal with us as we deal with each other, but who deals with us chiefly from His mercy. (Gospel) So our prayer is that Our Lord continue His peace which overcomes our fears so we joyfully serve Him in all godly quietness. (Collect) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Rev. Fr.
